Position Summary:

The Award-Winning Crowne Plaza seeks positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated servers to work on a part-time basis.

Banquet Setup/Houseman will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and will work closely with the hotel’s food & beverage team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.

* Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest. This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.

* Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.

* Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.

* Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.

* Cleaning pre-function area to include vacuuming and cleaning area and sweeping and mopping back hallway.
Job Requirements
* Must be available to work mornings, weekends and holidays.

* Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

* Ability to perform basic mathematical skills

* May be required to perform diverse physical tasks

* Requires grasping, writing, standing, stooping, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

* Must be able to lift and carry thirty pounds

* Possible hazards include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains.

* Integrity of character is essential. Must have pleasant personality in order to maintain positive morale among employees, guests and upper level management

* Must be able to cooperate and work along side all departments to foster and promote a harmonious work environment.

* Availability to work with flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

* High school or equivalent education required.
