Job Description

The Banquet Server duties include; serving food and beverage, clearing tables and returning equipment to respective areas, enduring safe and proper handling of all equipment and gathering equipment necessary to service a function. Overall, the Banquet Server is to provide a high level of service standards to the guests, whether in the hotel or on outside catering functions, in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner. Good communication skills – both oral and written. Bilingual ( English / French ) preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Able to handle physical work. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time. Able to lift heavy trays. Flexible in availability – able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Knowledge of table service standards. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware. Ability to describe menu items. High school or equivalent education required. 6 months experience in banquet service preferred. Smart Serve certificate is required. If you do not have your Smart Serve certification at the time of your application, you will be provided with a 30-day grace period to achieve the certification if you are hired for this role.
