Our guests are our most important asset.  Involvement, teamwork, and commitment are the values that govern our work.  This position provides service of beverage in the banquet area.  This role requires you to adhere to the hotel and brand standards.  You will also be required to be friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional, always offering our guest a high level of satisfaction.  Know that this position requires an average of 50 hours in a work week, or more based on business needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures customer satisfaction by communicating with guests to follow through with special requests, instructions, and complaints.

  2. Assumes responsibility for guest satisfaction as it relates to functions beginning on time, personally introducing themselves to the contact person for every function, open communication with kitchen staff, and presentation of the banquet checks.

  3. Responsible for conducting a “meet and greet” procedure with group contact.

  4. Responsible for reviewing BEO’s with client during the “meet and greet” procedures.

  5. Responsible for having banquet checks signed by the group contact.

  6. Responsible for adding counts to events should numbers increase on the day of event.

  7. Responsible for following and enforcing the “move-in and move-out” policies and procedures.

  8. Responsible for complete sanitation of all banquet rooms, service areas and storage.

  9. Works together with Director of Banquet Operations to ensure that all service standards, set up and DoubleTree by Hilton training is complete by all team members in the banquet department.

  10. Works closely with Director of Banquet Operations on directing, scheduling and evaluating and all banquet personnel.

  11. Keeps open communication between management and associates.

  12. Provides disciplinary action when, and if needed.

  13. Provides team members with the tools they need to perform their jobs.

  14. Takes immediate action on issues that are encountered in the banquet department.

  15. Works together with Director of Banquet Operations to organize the physical set-up of all banquet activities as requested by the BEOs.

  16. Knows upcoming events and schedules department accordingly.

  17. Works with Director of Banquet Operations to ensure adequate stock of operating supplies such as china, glass, silver, etc.

  1. Use arithmetic to check banquet revenues, cash out team members, forecast payroll and aid in budget process.

  2. Talk with guests, team members and peers to give information, answer questions and provide required services.

  3. Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.

  4. Lifting 75 pounds maximum, pushing 250 pounds maximum with frequent twisting, bending, lifting, reaching, and handling.
