The Association Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to the Association market segment, both group and transient. Duties also include the following:
* Conducts targeted account research in assigned territories to determine potential
* Proactively solicits and qualifies existing and new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. This will be done through sales calls, trade shows, promotions, inquiries, telephone contacts and sales trips
* Respond to sales leads and clients’ requests within 24 hours
* Prepares and customizes proposals to meet client’s needs. Delegates contract details to Sales Administrator for preparation
* Prepares and tailors sales presentations for prospective clients
* Produces in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Events and other team members the annual Business Plan
* Produces and implements quarterly action plan to achieve weekly activities quotas and annual revenue goal
* Analyses current and potential market trends, coordinates all activities to maintain and increase revenue through added business volume and increased rates
* Meets and greets in house meeting planners where appropriate to ensure total customer service and improve MPS Score
* Conducts sites/tours for clients. Entertain clients in-house or in restaurants near clients’ offices, and at approved social functions
* Plans and executes sales trips to major market areas
* Attend major travel functions to promote sales for the hotel
* Attend all sales and public relations functions within the hotel
* Maintains accounts in Envision with all pertinent information
* Prepare weekly plan and follow through with all activities outlined
* Provide exemplary ambassadorship of the hotel by maintaining an impeccable professionalism of presentation in personal grooming, dress, and appearance, verbal and visual presentations and in all written correspondence

The Association Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The incumbent also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff to in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

* A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
* Refined verbal and written communication skills
* A minimum of3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
* Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
* Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management TrainingProgram or equivalent training
* Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
