Job Summary – (Role Summary)



Responsible for the development of food and beverage advantage/operations focused training curriculums and programs across multiple operations, to include course design, manuals, outlines, course lesson plans, evaluation tools and other relevant job aids. The individual in this role will execute various Food and Beverage (F&B) training programs, initiatives, and related F&B operations support functions.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)


* Responsible for the design and development of training curriculum, including course design, course lesson plans, participant materials, PowerPoint and job aids; and coordinate the updating of all training materials as needed. Training includes new hire training, recurrent training and ad-hoc training development.
* Responsible for the development of training programs to support marketing initiatives, quality issues, system enhancements and refresher training to include developing browser and intranet based training.
* Responsible for project work as assigned by the Manager, F&B Training Content, to include content development, project consultation, and pilot/property training support. Create and edit content as needed, while delivering and monitoring training programs at hotel properties for pilot programs, new hotels, and deployments.
* Ensure all training materials are kept updated and reflect the latest processes and system changes. Ensure the availability of training inventory materials in order to prevent duplication in development of training.
* Provide recommendations on the most effective methods to deliver training regarding curriculum development requirements as well as considering training principles, audience, and complexity.
* Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data. Compile and analyze information. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to appropriate staff.
* Provide oversight of compliance tracking standards, to include follow-up via Frontline tracking and Brainier reporting. Works as a liaison with Quality and Brand Consistency, and Brand Standards.
* Responsible for the oversight of F&B Training Project Timeline tracking, to include current, future, standards impact, and resource needs.

Job Requirements

Education – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Training Development, Hospitality, and/or Education or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.



Experience – 5+ years of experience with hands-on F&B roles involving operations, management, and staffing.

2 - 4 years of progressive work related experience in F&B (or hospitality) training design, delivery, and facilitation.



Preferred Skills: Spanish or French Language (reading and writing) skills a plus

* Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality industry, operations and systems.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Hotel Operations, Management, and Staffing.
* Demonstrated knowledge of customer service and sales skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of instructional program design techniques and methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience with training design and principles and practices.
* Strong facilitation skills, with experience delivering training to groups of multiple learners.
* Demonstrated proficiency in gaining desired behaviors through effective training methodologies.
* Demonstrated proficiency in creatively engaging an audience while delivering training content.
* Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of user.
* Demonstrated proficiency with publishing programs.
* Demonstrated understanding of alternative training technologies and their use.
* Demonstrated experience in media development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Intranet/HMTL design.
* Demonstrated proficiency in multiple applications and database applications.
* Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills.
* Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work cooperatively and seamlessly in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
* Ability to work independently and deliver on strict deadlines.
