Position Details

Reports directly to Director of Security.  Assist in carrying out operational and administrative duties and overall responsible for subordinates performance.   Ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and other security and safety related.  Any other duties as assigned by Director of Security from time to time.

Major responsibilities
Responsible for subordinates in following areas:

  • Training - LQE, OJT & Refresher Courses.
  • Updating and proper filing of subordinates' records on attendance leaves and overtime.
  • Enforce work standard and follow-up on subordinates work performance.
  • Update operational information and procedures.
  • Coaching, counselling, discipline subordinates as appropriate
  • Putting and follow-up on subordinate appraisal

Operational functions includes:

  • Ensure Casual labour, CCTV surveillance, Alarm, and Patrol systems are in good working order.  These include computers, printers, fax machines, radio communication sets and VingCard hardware and operating systems
  • Conduct and put up investigation report
  • Conduct monthly departmental meeting and actively participate in departmental and management programs.
  • Safeguard company keys and passwords

    
Others

  • Daily updating with Director of Security.
  • Report any discrepancies, deviation of procedure or standard practice and carry out the necessary follow-ups
  • Update on security intelligence (suspicious movements and trends of individual or activities)
  • Conduct daily security briefing and intelligence gathering for subordinates

Tools/Equipment used
Responsible to care and keep in good working order and to report any malfunction of the following:

  • CCTV Surveillance System
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Two-ways Security Radio Transceiver
  • Security Pagers
  • Intrusion Alarm System
  • Master Keys & VingCard System
  • Security Tour Patrol System
  • Casual Labour Payroll System
  • Lift Supervisory Panel

Daily Duties

  • Physical checks of the following:
         - All FLHSS systems and equipment.
         - Entire hotel vulnerable areas and perimeter
         - Subordinates deportment and turnout
  • Analyses and follow up the following:
         - Patrol reports, Investigation reports,
         - Complaints, allegations and inquiries.
         - Security audits and incidents report
         - Communication & operations logs, memos & duty orders
  • Update and upkeep stocks of the following:
         - Filling system & Operational Forms
         - Passes & keys
         - Stationary & operational supplies
  • Communicate with subordinate the following:
         - Daily operational needs
         - Daily operational events
         - New/amended P&P/SOP/BCP
         - New Directive and orders
  • Daily update with Director Of Security
  • Any other duties as and when required by Management

Periodic duties

  • Review of existing SOP & Departmental P&P
  • Security System and equipment test
  • Check operational and administrations report and files.
  • Any other duties as and when required by Management

Occasional duties

  • Attend external meeting with relevant authorized bodies, agencies and security network.
  • Attend external workshop, forum and seminars as representative of the Dept/Hotel.
  • Carry out appraisal exercise on subordinates
  • Organize and coordinate Security & Safety Awareness and Training Programs in the hotel.
  • Office equipment and stationary audit
  • Any other duties related duties as and when required by Management.
  • Special operation and investigation assigned by Director of Security

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, related field.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must possess SIRD License.
  • Prefarably FSM Certifies.
  • Sound knowledge in investigation and report writing.
  • Able to work long and irregular hours when required.
  • Able to work on PH and weekends.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Security/Armed Forces/Protective Services or equivalent.
