The Assistant Regional Director of Finance is responsible for supporting the Regional Director of Finance with overseeing, directing and administering all financial operations of the region properties in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Accountable for leading the financial compliance efforts for the region to insure that a strong, effective, and efficient control environment and culture thrives in the region.





Principal Job Duties & Functions:

As Assistant Regional Director of Finance, responsibilities include but are not limited to:


* Responsible for hotels' balance sheets, audits, P&L reviews, compliance with SOP's, budgeting and project management. Ensure all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliation's are reconciled on a timely basis.
* Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure the accurate recording in accordance with HEI's established guidelines. Investigate and critique variances to budget or to prior year and offer practical improvement strategies to management.
* Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls to ensure compliance and the design and implementation are effective and efficient.
* Provide support and direction for owner relations, establish and maintain relations with key owners. Responsibility for cash management, forecasting and sources and uses of funds for ownership groups.
* Provide decision support for key strategic directions and tactical opportunities for process improvement and effective integration of revenue enhancement, cost containment and overall asset value creation.
* Provide regional leadership with reporting and analysis functionality which provides support and direction toward use of resources and providing profitability. Execute the business planning function, and embed continual improvement to reduce cycle times and improve outcomes. Responsible for the analysis, development, implementation and monitoring of action plans to improve performance.
* Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels' financial objectives.
* Embrace a continuous growth environment by actively hiring professional staff and assisting in recruiting, reviewing, recommending and maintaining an inventory of qualified and promotable Associates
* Continually focus on training and development programs for finance associates to cultivate the "brightest" and "best-in-class" talent within the industry.
* Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with HEI's requirements meeting various due dates and deadlines.
* Conduct and/or attend and contribute to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
* Ensure and monitor that the hotel is in compliance with all report deadlines and due dates and react accordingly.
* Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
