Job Description

Title: Asst. Human Resources Director
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
FLSA Status: Full-Time; Exempt
Work Hours: As Necessary to Satisfactorily Perform Duties
Hiring Range:

The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Human Resources Manager and do not constitute an all-inclusive list.

1. Consistently promotes a positive, professional image of the Hotel at all times.
2. Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, including but not limited to:
a. Accountable for processing payroll for ADP Timesaver and Payforce on a weekly basis.
b. Manages the payroll process by ensuring that payroll balances before it is processed by the Home Office.
c. Manages employee e-files by maintaining that files are kept up-to-date through proper filing on a timely basis.
d. Manages ADP’s HRIS Payforce by ensuring employee records are accurate and maintained.
e. Training new managers on ADP’s Timesaver payroll system.
f. Heads the employee Involvement Committee for planning employee functions.

g. Maintaining open communication with the Director of Human Resources to ensure any problems or situations involving employees and/or the hotel is addressed.

h. Assist with recruiting, interviewing potential candidates and completing new hire orientation.

i. Manages the FMLA and Workman’s Compensation process.

j. Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of, and compliance with, the Company’s rules, policies, and procedures, as contained in the employee handbook and consistently and appropriately enforcing them.

3. Consistently demonstrates positive, effective communication skills and interactions with all departments to ensure that the employee codes of conduct are maintained.
4. Performs other duties and/or tasks assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
5. Adhere to all work rules, procedures and polices established by the hotel, including but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
• College Degree preferred
• Payroll experience preferred.
• HR experience required
• Maintains excellent writing and communication skills.
• Bi-Lingual – Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent listening skills.
• Self-motivated and ambitious.
• Must be able to multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite
• College Degree preferred
• Payroll experience required.
• HR experience required
• Maintains excellent writing and communication skills.
