The Adolphus Hotel is a vibrant and historic landmark in Dallas, Texas. This beautiful hotel is completing renovations and will become a landmark property within the Marriott Autograph Collection. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager that will deliver service excellence throughout each customer experience.

JOB OVERVIEWSupervise the Front Office staff, including Front Desk Agents, Guest Services, and PBX department in the daily shift operations. Aid in the administration of the Front Office department to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service while meeting and exceeding financial goals. This position is intended to offset the Front Office Managers schedule to provide high management visibility and improved guest service.

REPORTS TO Front Office Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Supervise the shift operations in the Front Office and liaise with sales, reservations, accounting, and the operations departments to ensure smooth operations and achievement of an optimal level of quality service and hospitality.
2. Supervise the Front Office employees interview, recommend hiring, schedule, train, recommend performance reviews, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline as appropriate.
3. Aid in the implementation and administration of company programs of the Front Office (Front Desk, PBX, Bell Stand, Concierge, and Valet). Ensure compliance with LSOPs and SOPs to ensure an optimal level of guest and associate satisfaction.
4. Resolve customer complaints, anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring complaints, operational issues, business flow and associate performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality.
5. Monitor and maintain the Front Office systems and equipment to ensure their optimum performance.
6. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
7. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 years previous Assistant Front Office Manager experience in a luxury hotel environment. Marriott experience preferred. Must have experience with training associates.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to pitch-in and help co- workers with their job duties and
be a team player. Ability to handle cash and credit transactions. Must possess
thorough knowledge of all guest services department operations, and individual job requirements. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills required.
Computer literacy and financial management a must. Ability to resolve guest,
supervisor and employee conflicts. Able to manage effectively multiple tasks at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
