Job Description

To assist the Director of Revenue Management in the effective leadership and direction with regards to property revenue management practices. This position is will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of all strategies which result in the maximization of profitable revenues realized by the hotel. All revenue segments (group, transient and catering) are included in the scope of responsibilities. Success is determined through improvement in our revenue performance as compared to that of our defined competitors. This position will also oversee the Reservations Dept. by meticulously managing and overseeing the handling of all incoming or active Reservations for the hotel. Through timely and accurately confirming all Reservations the perception of absolute efficiency should be achieved and maintained.


* Assist the DORM in monitoring and analyzing demand patterns.
* Assist the DORM in monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of restrictions and other selling strategies.
* Assist the DORM in Monitoring and analyzing daily future turndowns and lost business.
* Assist the DORM in Developing and implementing daily selling strategies.
* Assist the DORM in producing a day by day 12 month rolling forecast.
* Produce a 19 Day Operations Forecast.
* Manage and maintain all FIT reservations, contracts and production.
* Process Travel Agent Commissions weekly.
* Input all definite group Booking Recaps into the PMS system 72hrs after turn-over date.
* Maintain system balances between Delphi and Epitome during the sales turnover process.
* Manage/access all housing group pick-up reports.
* Audit group resumes prior to group are arrival.
* Meet with meeting planners as necessary.
* Process all group numbers for the revenue management PSAs.
* Conduct/chair the Group Pick Up meeting and Rev Merch meeting in the absence of the DORM.
* Appropriately assign all future groups to the GRC staff and Director of Revenue Management.
* Analyze no-show, same-day cancel, early departure and unexpected stay-over patterns
* Analyze the impact of changing mix of business ratio.
* Assist in establishing group selective sell targets through GroupRev and adjusting appropriately.
* Work with OMNI CRO to ensure accurate group booking information is set up for reservation accuracy.
* Process all CRO test calls on a monthly basis.
* Maximize potential room revenue by following specified selling guidelines.
* Provide directional feedback on group block pick-up and slippage.
* Assist in setting strategy to fill hotel occupancy between large groups blocks.
* Oversee accurate input of Reservations into system.
* Clear all room type issues prior to arrival on a daily basis.
* Detail day of arrival list daily.
* Process all travel agent commissions.
* Ensure an efficient and professional working environment with open communication
* Ensure staff is well trained and has ongoing training as needed on HIS/IBM systems.
* Ensure staff is able to describe all hotel accommodations.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
* Working knowledge of Delphi and Excel.
* Must have a college degree, hospitality degree preferred.
* Must have at least 1 year of sales or related experience.
