The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited, to the following: forecasting, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable invoice processing, checkbook/purchase order controls, payroll processing, daily cashiering and income journal reporting, review of daily sales and occupancy tax exemption compilation, assistance with the preparation of the financial statement, provide documentation for month end closing, and compliance from an internal/external audit perspective.



Job Description


* Review daily report and income journal entries.
* Prepare and reconcile daily deposits.
* Review sales and use tax reconciliation and tax exempt documentation and file monthly returns.
* Perform two-way credit card verification reconciliation.
* Work with internal and external audit programs and compliance.
* Prepare weekly, monthly cash flow and forecasts with Centralized Accounting Team.
* Supervise the billing and collection of accounts receivables.
* Monitor ongoing usage of checkbooks and purchase orders.
* Prepare weekly accounts payable batches and monthly payable accruals.
* Assist Centralized Accounting in the preparation of month end reports.
* Apply corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
* Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
* Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance.
* Participate in food and beverage inventory counts as prescribed in the SOP.
* Maintain records pertaining to inventory, personnel, orders, or supplies.
* Research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, or other accounting/financial information required by management.
* Analyze financial activities of establishments or departments and provide input into budget planning and preparation processes.
* Perform any other job related duties as assigned.



Experience, Skills and Knowledge




* At least two years of related accounting experience or educational equivalent
* Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) or equivalent
* Assertiveness - Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment or to defend a position or idea.
* Change Management - Ability to encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities.
* Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
* Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
* Leadership - Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
* Presentation Skills - Ability to effectively present information publicly.
* Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
* Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
* Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
* Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
* Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
