Job OverviewResponsible for customer service and for all front desk operations; check in and check out of guests. Must promote and deliver courteous, efficient, and memorable Guest Service to all members and guests. Promotes club memberships, activities, and amenities within our facility. To have full knowledge of spa and club functions, fitness floor equipment, classes and personal training as it pertains to members and guests. Responsible for retail sales, assistance and cleanliness of retail space.
·Direct all members and guests to the appropriate location in the facility.
·Greet all members and guests as they enter the facility.
·Check a guest in and out of the club according to spa and club standards.
·Ability to answer all phone calls and provide caller with accurate information.
·Answer all inquiries about the facility and amenities.
·Be familiar with resort specials and hours of operation outlets.
·Full knowledge of club functions and activities. Must have accuracy processing registration of activities. Registration functions include; but are not limited to, establishing credit, cash handling, and accepting payments.
·Process membership applications, research membership accounts in question, provide follow up to all member relations inquiries.
�Accuracy of registration for all racquet sports, lessons, court rentals, and children’s programs. Ability to handle reservations for aforementioned activities.
·Be safety and security conscious.
·Check club fax machine throughout the day and distribute faxes to appropriate departments within the club.
·Maintain guest hospitality station throughout shift with refilling water and condiments in coffee, tea, and newspaper areas.
·Restock retail items in all retail areas including beverage cooler, clothing items, any other retail back stock. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of these areas. Including folding and dusting.
·Ensure that all brochures, schedules, activities information, and related collateral that promotes the spa and club is maintained and restocked daily.
·Cleanliness and tidiness of work area.
·Clear and direct communication with all other departments and assistance in other areas when needed.
·Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
·Always be in proper uniform and comply with grooming standards.
·Keep front desk neat and well maintained.
·Attend and actively participate in the scheduled meetings.
·Maintain schedule availability to provide the best assistance to the job related responsibilities to include but not limited to client expectations.
·Assist personal trainers in redemption and sales of training packages.
·Check e-mail continuously throughout each shift for new information on what is happening at the club and spa.
·Other duties as assigned.
·Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
·1+ year customer service experience preferred, ideally in hospitality or front desk capacity.
·Working knowledge of computer programs, MS Windows, and MS Office.
·CPR, 1st aid and AED certification preferred.
·Certification in personal training/exercise instruction preferred.
·Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle pressure situations with ease.
·Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail while exhibiting courteous and cooperative behavior with minimal supervision.
·Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
·Detailed oriented with good organizational skills.
·Excellent customer service and associate relations skills.
·Competent in written and verbal communication.
·Competent in problem solving in all guest/member relations.
