As an Area Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for all Group and Local sales for a collection of Hotel properties located in the Florida Keys.

The successful candidate will:

  • Direct and manage all group sales activities for a collection of various Hotels located in Key Largo, Islamorada and Key West to maximize group and Transient Leisure sales.

  • Prepare, implement and compile data for strategic sales plan, month end reports and annual goals.

  • Develop and manage the hotels sales and marketing budgets.

  • Assist in providing weekly and monthly group forecasts and other reports as directed/required.

  • Develop rates, group ceilings and sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.

  • Hire, direct, train and mentor sales staff.

  • Actively participate in sales presentations, various property tours and customer meetings to close business.

  • Conduct a daily business review meeting and weekly strategic sales meeting to assure booking are being approached efficiently and to the proper asset.

  • Represent the sales team at weekly revenue meetings to maximize hotels revenues and profitability.

  • Coordinate all Group and Local Transient advertising, public relations and promotional activities with the Marketing and Revenue Management team.

  • Strategize with the Revenue Management Team to help achieve monthly and quarterly budgets and goals.

Proven proactive sales skills and supervisory skills are required as well as the ability to effectively work with all levels of associates & managers within the Hotels.  Experience working in either the group sales markets in Florida markets is a plus for this position. Multi-property sales experience is preferred.

Bachelor's Degree preferred; however, any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered.
Minimum 5 years’ hotel sales preferred in a multi property environment is a plus.
Previous experience as DOSM required. Experience in a 4-diamond, branded facility preferred.
