Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service Manager 1 to join our team at St Mary's Health Care System in Athens, GA. St. Mary's history of compassion and care for the people of Northeast Georgia dates back to 1906 — over 100 years.  In this highly visible role, you will direct and participate in all of the daily food operation for the patient feeding, back of house operations as well as support to retail and catering. This working manager position acts as unit opening Manager. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of  At Your Request (AYR) room service for patients,  cash handling duties, as well as daily food-service and kitchen operations and catering assistance as needed  including management of specific areas within the department. Successful candidate will work as a team member in the delivery of services to make a difference in the lives of our patients and customers. This position will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction through exceptional execution and delivery of the food service operation.

 

Additional Job Responsibilities include:

  • Manages 4+ associates /BOH Management/Patient Feeding/Catering
  • Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team.
  • Works to achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Works to achieve high quality patient and client satisfaction scores.
  • Responsible for implementing / executing program and growing the business
  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Must meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.
  • Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team.

The ideal candidate for this Food Service Manager position will have experience in as a food service leader with strong food management experience; will have a strong customer focus, exceptional communication and organizational skills and management experience.

 

Position Summary

Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.
