Sodexois seeking aGeneral Manager (III) ofDining ServicesforMcLean CareinSimsbury, CT. This is an upscale 224 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community with Independent & Assistant Living and Skilled Nursing. Sodexo Five Star Dining Services include; Resident Dining, Catering, Meals on Wheels & a Café.
Critical to your success in this role;excellent communication skills with aResiliencemanagement style and the ability to adapt well to challenges & change, your focus on customer and employee Quality of Life initiatives as they relate to Senior Living. Position requires a keen financial acumen to manage both Client & Sodexo budgets and to monitor costs relating to food, supplies, and labor.
Position interfaces daily with our Client and Residents and has the direct responsibility to manage operations related to; dining, customer service, quality, cost controls, while providing strategic leadership to the dining team. Position manages a budget of 2 million in volume, 2 managers, 30 employees, the HACCP and Safety Programs, Regulatory Compliance, Five Star Dining Services, and the Training Programs.
Ideal Candidate Skills, Certifications:
Senior Level Food & Dining HC Management background
College Degree / Trade School Certificate, a Servsafe Certificate / CDM
Financial skills for 2 million in annual volume
Skills to hire, coach, and develop 2 managers who oversee 30 employees
Working knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety programs
Hands on catering and food production knowledge
Computer skills; financial, food, and labor management systems
Experience with Regulatory Compliance and Contract Management
Experience building client and customer service relationships
Experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Work hours vary between; 7:30am-7pm - some weekends/holidays forspecial events!
