Sodexo Senior Livingis seeking aGeneral Managerto oversee the food service operations a 200 bed skilled care and short term rehab, located inChambersburg, Pennsylvania. The General Manager will be responsible to manage all dining experiences for the residents including food production, tray line operations and meal delivery for residents. The General Manager must be hands-on, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents with the goal of creating dining experiences, not just meals. Will report to the Area General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 20 hourly employees.
The General Manager will have an active role in managing the daily events and operations related to finance; P&L, cost controls, customer service, and will provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to exceed resident and client expectations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all planning and organizing activities fully support the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.
The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experiences as an Operations Manager / Food Service Director / Clinical Dietitian, experience in training and developing staff, coordinating customer service programs. Previous food service management experience in a healthcare environment is needed. ADietary Manager Certification (CDM) is required or must currently be enrolled in program and/or have a Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management, related field.r mt be actively enrolled in program or have Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Food Service or Nutrition which is acceptable to sit for the CDM exam.
