Sodexo is currently seeking an entry level Food Production Manager 1/ Sous Chef to join our team at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital a new 25 bed Critical Care Hospital in beautiful Oconee Co./ Reynolds Plantation Area in Greensboro, GA. In this highly visible role, you will participate in all of the daily food production operations for their patient feeding using Chef's Select Patient Dining, Catering, and their high end Cafe / Restaurant with a 45 seat & outdoor area. Responsibilities will include: supervision of 12 non-union hourly associates, over-site of food production/ portioning, hands-on food preparation with a focus on creative and fresh concepts, food costing, inventory/purchasing, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance and maintaining proper sanitation for the kitchen and storage facilities.
The ideal candidates will have at least 1 year culinary supervisory experience, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, computer literacy as well as excellent communication skills with a passion for high level customer service.Position Summary
Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. May plan and cost menus. May supervise less than two full time employees.
