We have an exceptional career opportunity for aFood Operations Manager 2to lead a food service and retail management team based inBethlehem, PA.

 

Bethlehem Area School District in Bethlehem, PA is a K-12 operation with 22 schools, 1 charter school and another alternate site. Current staff size is 130 client-employees. District enrollment is currently in the 14,000 range. Long-term account with strong administration and board member partnerships. Focus on student-well being and achievment which aligns to district long-term vision and goals.

 

The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a large front-line staff of 70 employees in 6 different locations.  The primary focus will be on transitioning secondary schools to a higher tier retail system, gauging feedback and working with the students/faculty to address concerns.

 

The Food Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and possess stellar communication skills, a genuine passion for service and afocus on leadershipto meet and exceed satisfaction.  Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Retail operations and oversight for all marketing/retail sales
  • Special projects as assigned by the General Manager
  • Managing front-line staff of 70 employees
  • Ability to work independently or without daily instruction/supervision
  • Working knowledge of HACCP
  • Food budget/cost controls

 

Requirements for this position include previous management experience preferably in an education environment, proven experience meeting/ exceeding customer service goals and prior experience in dietetics.
