Sodexo Schoolshas a great opportunity for a skilled Sodexo manager ready to take the next step in there career and work in a great environment with great work hours as a Food Operations Manager 2.  This is an opportunity to work with an established client and team to create daily excellence in all phases of our food and service delivery located in York County Schools.


This is a fast paced operation that requires strong communication, organizational and technical skills. Must have good team building skills and be able to train one on one and in a group.  The ideal candidate will have prior Sodexo experience and understand volume food production, menu development, purchasing, management of food cost, retail management and comp growth year over year.  Must be able to perform catering functions and insure all operations are in compliance with operational standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and develop client relationships, ensure account retention
  • Fulfill contractual obligations to the client
  • Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
  • Promote and support workplace diversity and initiatives.


Our desired candidate is self-motivated and dependable with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Exceptional client relations and team building skills a must! Prior experience and knowledge of NSLP & CEP are critical to the success of this candidate. Basic culinary skills, marketing experience and a understanding of technology innovation is a plus. Someone who can be fully engaged and understand Sodexo market Connection, payroll platforms, financials, safety focus, cost control and entreprenurial highly preferred.


The operations manager must have the ability to be a self starter and work in collaboration with the on-site GM to create outstanding services

Position Summary

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence.
