Innovate. Lead. Inspire. Sodexo is seeking a talented, creative and innovative Executive Chef 1  for our Corporate Services account PayPal located in Chandler, AZ. Exciting multi service restaurant operation with cutting edge customer base in high tech company. Opens 7 days a week offering a full services café, in office coffee services and high volume of catering.  

 

The Executive Chef 1 will work in a team environment and have responsibility such as managing Sodexo staff, creating and implementing new programs, menu planning, and staff training & development. This position will support the upscale corporate account with a full scope of dining offerings. Stations to include grill, brick oven pizza, deli, salad bar, simply to go and entree.  The ideal candidate must emphasis on healthy eating, national & regional trends. This account will have catering opportunities also, along with day to day café operations. This position will be reporting directly to the General Manager.

 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience training & developing hourly/management staff, supervising and coaching
  • Experience creating menus with fresh ideas; utilizing fresh products and unique trends
  • Experience working with other chef’s to assure food quality, menu, recipe, techniques, menu developing, food & labor cost.
  • Exceptional customer service, professional and good communication skills

 

The candidate should be articulate, creative, and must have a passion for creating and serving great food to our client; should have experience with food safety, menu selection, training and development and a solid management background. Must have demonstrated knowledge in food safety,  good communication skills and computer skills. Qualifications for the Executive Chef will include prior culinary management experience in a high volume setting, culinary degree or applicable experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification.

Position Summary

Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a small account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
