Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking anEnvironmental Services/Housekeeping Managerfor Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota forsecond shift(2:30 pm start).  The facility has 230 beds with approximately 800K cleanable square feet.  The responsibilities for this manager include supervision, training and development of client paid frontline hourly union employees as well as handling employee relations matters, employee training, custodial department quality inspections and conducting formal rounds with key hospital customers.  The ideal candidate for this position will have strong customer service skills, computer skills and some floor care background.  The selected candidate for this position will work a regular weekday schedule starting at approximately 2:30 pm and will also be required to work every 4th weekend and during that weekend, will work a day shift schedule starting at 6:30 am.  

 

You as the successful candidate will need to have strong management skills along with floor care and housekeeping experience.   Hospitality background in hotels and/or healthcare is ideal.   Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.

Position Summary

Supervises hourly staff providing custodial service to client. Responsible for work force planning, Quality Assurance training and administrative functions for designated area. Typically reports to General Manager or Operations Manager.
