Sodexois seeking aChef Manager for a corporate services account and small manufacturing site located inRidgefield, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for all of the food production of deli items. Responsibilities will include: ordering, inventory, audits, maintenance of food production records, trainings, ensuring compliance with HACCP and other food safety programs and supervision of up to 1 non union hourly associate.
Thesuccessful candidatewill have at least 2 years food/culinary management experience, a strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills. The ideal Chef Manager would be a highly engaging individual who can build sales and drive quality.Position Summary
Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Executive Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to General Manager.
