Unit Description

Catering/Pantries Manager opportunity within Corporate Services in Arlington, VA. The Catering/Pantries Manager will oversee our employee pantries and catering at our Arlington site and at our satellite site in Bethesda. Strong catering background is required. This position will manage 7 employees across 2 sites, including all scheduling, training, development, and payroll. The ability to communicate clear expectations and standards to staff is essential. The Catering/Pantries Manager will interact heavily with 3 levels of clients. The ideal candidate will be able to manage conflicting directives from clients and ensure client satisfaction with our services. Our clients have high expectations, so attention to detail and strong client relations skills are a must! Other responsibilities include ordering, vendor management, inventory, fiscal reconciliations, record keeping, and HACCP and Safety Policy adherence. Our ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail and a passion for hospitality!!!

Position Summary

Leads a staff, to include, Front Desk , Reservations, Set Up, Janitorial and Housekeeping.  Incumbent will hire, direct and train hourly staff.   Ensures the effective operation of the department, particularly in regards to safety and the guests’ perception of a quality and enjoyable experience during their stay. This position plays a critical role on the first response team for emergency situations.  It also requires an eye for detail, to support the overall cleanliness.  Oversees and manages property reservationist system through PMS and ensures that lodging procedures are followed.  Drives Quality Assurance initiatives with overseeing daily operations and delivery of exceptional customer service, provides training for staff on customer service, monitors safety and hazardous waste management, works with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, develops and maintains systems and procedures within the department.  Financial responsibilities to include, maintaining proper level of supplies and equipment inventories and invoice approval.?
