Mesa Verde Country Club is a member owned equity club that hosts weddings, member functions, golf tournaments and a la carte dining, so we need someone who enjoys variety and can multitask. We provide our members with exceptional service in a friendly, timely and personable manner. Working together as a group to achieve our goals is part of the day-to-day life here at Mesa Verde Country Club.

The service staff plays a critical role in creating a truly memorable experience at Mesa Verde Country Club. Servers are expected to balance positive guest connections with the best service possible. Must have a passion for people, service, food and wine.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering gracious hospitality with a strong knowledge of Mesa Verde Country Club’s menu. We offer a competitive base rate and additional gratuities from our membership is permitted.

Bartenders are a key part of the service staff by making sure drinks are prepared quickly and accurately. They are also responsible for equipment sanitation, keeping par inventory levels and taking care of guests that dine in the bar area.

Requirements

A team player who is high energy, upbeat, with a positive personality and a great communicator
Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure the adequate supplies are available
Request additional supplies as necessary to ensure bar is ready for service at all times
Follows set up procedure
Keep the bar and equipment sanitary and clean at all times in accordance with OSHA requirements
Prepare garnishes mixes and pre-mixed drinks and fill up garnish trays prior to starting any shift
Fill all drink orders for the a la carte or banquet operation
Greet members and guests, using the member names at every possible opportunity and try to remember their specific drink preferences
Advanced knowledge of spirits and beer required, basic wine knowledge and a willingness to learn
Keep all glassware clean, polished and stocked
Assist with takeout orders
Report complaints to a manager as soon as they occur
Check identification of members to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol when questionable
Balance cash receipts and daily logs
Keep the seating around the bar clean and in uniform fashion·
Maintain a clean and organized working environment

Required Skills

Return all beverage products to their proper place after use
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Desire to expand food and beverage knowledge
Ability to move quickly during peak business
Outgoing, friendly personality
Extensive liquor, beer and wine knowledge
