Job Overview:We are seeking a talented and visionary Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations and inspire a team dedicated to providing top-tier dining experiences. In this key leadership role, you will ensure the highest quality of food preparation, set standards for kitchen operations, and maintain a culture of excellence, creativity, and safety.
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Housekeeping Department. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel/departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that housekeeping team is informed as well. Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. Hire, train and develop team members and ensure all required training is complete according to standards. Review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations. Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts. Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands. Ensure all end of month reports are completed to standard. Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas. Manages all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment. Maintains Housekeeping Department’s annual budget. Performs housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson functions whenever necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely. As the Director of Front Office, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front office department, including reservations, registration, bell services, telephone services, and guest accounting. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of service for our guests, maintaining operational efficiency, and driving overall guest satisfaction..
ResponsibilitiesThe Rooms Manager in Training will work towards maintaining a high quality of services offered to guests through the management of the functional areas of reservations, registration, bell services, telephone services and guest accounting to always maximize room revenue and maintain established standards and procedures of Shaner and/or franchise. Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.Qualifications

Assists the Executive Chef in the establishment of department budgets and the adherence to budget guidelines. Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates, and guests.

Answers guests’ questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Recommends products for home use. Suggests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa. Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures. Informs Lead Therapist and Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs. Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate. Other duties as assigned.

Submits all paperwork and financial reporting in accordance with policies. Actively involved in overall cleanliness and maintenance of facility. Recommends retail products for home use to guests and suggestive sells other spa services. Excellent knowledge of Spa Menu and services offered. Assists with oversight and data entry of employee payroll, commissions, and tips. Other duties as assigned.

Delegate daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects. Schedule and perform work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with the Rooms Division Department. Ensures final inspection of all engineeringrelated work and execution of all work orders. Performs engineering staff functions whenever necessary. Ensures all safety equipment is in compliance and working order with federal quarterly/annual inspections to city, state and codes. Maintain knowledge of hotel safety procedures and ensure application of such. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces, according to hotel requirements. Perform emergency equipment and machinery repair as needed. Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools. Exercise safety precautions when working on equipment (use of safety signs, etc.). Carries out supervisory responsibilities that may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled. Other duties as assigned.
