Maintain knowledge of and comply with all Shaner and franchisee departmental policies and procedures.
Maintain complete understanding of Shaner internal audit procedures.
Ensure all daily, weekly, and month-end reports are completed to standards, in a timely manner according to corporate policy.
Complete knowledge of hotel and Hilton systems and operations.
Ensure all house charges are adjusted weekly. Review for accuracy and legitimacy.
Assist staff with expediting problem payments.
Distributes group bills to Sales Managers for approval.
Maintain accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are received timely.
Assist in the review and adjustment of monthly Profit and Loss statements.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting of revenue, expenses, and occupancy.
Handle disputed charges by guests courteously, following proper procedures.

Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating at tables.
Take and retrieve guests' alcoholic beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques, when specified on function requirements.
Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements.
Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests; always maintain positive guest relations.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Handle guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.

Creates and designs new and unique menu items.
Assists the Executive Chef in the establishment of department budgets and the adherence to budget guidelines.
Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates, and guests.
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holiday, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations.
Maintains complete awareness of hotel facilities and services.
Handles deliveries received during non-business hours, following hotel procedures.
Monitor surveillance cameras as assigned.
Investigate duress alarms and comply with respective procedures.
Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions.
Ensure all guest room doors are secured; assist guests with room access according to privacy policies.
Respond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; comply with departmental procedures.
Comply with state regulations and with Shaner and Franchise guidelines for handling intoxicated guests.
Report to scenes of vehicles accidents/thefts and document specified information.
Comply with guest requests for storing and safekeeping of their valuables and follow procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of all Security and hotel reports/documents.
Provide interdepartmental assistance upon request to ensure optimum service to guests.
Provide security service for banquet functions/meeting rooms as assigned.
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations.
Helps ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Sales department.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel/departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that Sales team is informed as well.
Be knowledgeable and understanding of current customers and accounts, particularly those corporations, agencies, associations, tour operations, sports teams, and other groups or organizations who purchase hotel services.
Helps determine and implement what additional business or market segments the hotel should pursue.
Establish special packages or programs to boost occupancy during slow periods, and creating advertising through newspaper, direct mail, billboards, etc. in support of these programs.
Attend trade shows, chamber of commerce or civic events, and other local organizations in support of hotel sales.
Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, and staff.
Enforces and meets sales goals; develops and implements monthly sales action plans.
