Job Summary

Friendly, reliable, and energetic team member to join our seasonal Skating Rink Staff. As an Skating Rink Attendant, you’ll be the welcoming face for guests, ensuring they have a safe and fun skating experience. This role includes customer service, equipment management, and light food & beverage service.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests with a warm, professional welcome and assist with check-in.
  
  
• Process payments, verify bookings, and distribute wristbands.
  
  
• Assist guests with skate rentals and returns; sanitize and organize equipment.
  
  
• Offer helmets and skate trainers as needed.
  
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rink, seating area, and skate stations.
  
  
• Support food & beverage service, including hot cocoa, water, and snacks.
  
  Answer guest questions and provide helpful information about the rink and activities.
  
  Assist with opening and closing duties at the start and end of the day.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay on your feet.
• Responsible and dependable, with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in winter conditions.
• Prior hospitality, event, or customer service experience is a plus (but not required).
  
  
  

Safety & Supervision

o   Monitor guests on the ice, in the tent, and at the surrounding seating area.

o   Be prepared to assist with falls, injuries, or calling for first aid.

o   Enforce rink rules (no roughhousing, no food/drinks on ice, etc.).

Customer Experience

o   Take photos for guests upon request (family/group shots).

o   Help with special events (birthday parties, corporate bookings, classes).

o   Encourage guests to enjoy resort amenities after skating.

Operations & Logistics

o   Track skate inventory (sizes going low, damaged skates, etc.).

o   Restock wristbands, waiver forms, sanitizer, cups, napkins.

o   Report maintenance issues (ice quality, heaters not working, lighting issues).

Dress Code/Uniform

• Semi-professional/golf attire, resort-branded coats are provided
