Access Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Loews Philadelphia has a rare opportunity in our sales department.  Our team is looking for a professional sales person that will work hand in hand with our long term senior leaders in the office in a small meetings capacity. As a sales manager, you are responsible for developing and maintaining an account base through, sales action plans, specific documentation in Sales systems and clear and concise correspondence. They will also be required to plan Rooms Only group meetings from a convention service position. Position generally works with groups of 75 rooms or less with short term arrivals, to the hotel, within a 12 month booking window.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals as designated by Director of Sales

  • Develop and maintain an account base, as designated by Director of Sales, to achieve hotel revenue goals.

  • Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan for the development of the designated market segments which includes telephone/email mail solicitation, personal call program, related sales trips, trade show participation and entertainment.

  • Respond to all inquiries and correspondence from clients, prospects and lead referrals,

    within guidelines designated for the position

  • Respond promptly to requests by Director of Sales and Director of Marketing for reports and other assignments.

  • Execute sales calls and sales trips as designated.

  • Develop working relationship with hotel department heads and operational areas.

  • Follow up on all assigned sales leads.

  • Be knowledgeable of local and national competitive hotels and marketing strategies.

  • Follow up with clients during meetings, according to Loews standards.

  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions as requested by Director of Sales.

  • Maintain efficient processing of paperwork, files and reports.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must have excellent communication, organizational and guest relations skills.
  • Experience in Sales operational systems such as Delphi preferred
  • Strong Microsoft utilization skills / experience preferred
  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the hotel operations
  • Person should be highly competitive and operate with a strong sense of urgency
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Qualification Standards

Education:  Bachelor degree

Experience: Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience, within large volume hotel highly preferred.
