US News and World Report releases best hotels of 2017 rankings
Earlier this week, the popular consumer advice publication U.S. News & World Report published its annual list of best hotels. The list of 2017 Best Hotels ranked more than 3,000 establishments from multiple regions, including the US, the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico.
The Langham in Chicago, Illinois, was ranked the No. 1 hotel in the United States, and in Canada, for the fourth year in a row, the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal was designated as the country’s top hotel. The Eden Rock, St. Barths is ranked as the best hotel in the Caribbean. The One and Only Palmilla takes the No. 1 spot for Mexico.
For the first time, U.S. News also included rankings for Havana, Cuba, with the IBEROSTAR Parque Central ranked as the best hotel in the city.
U.S. News also awards “Gold Badges” to hotels who rank in the top 10 percent. New York City, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles earned the highest number of “Gold Badge” hotels in the US for 2017.
