Post your Internship Positions on HcareersCampus

A great way to maximize your job views by students - free of charge

New! Clients of Hcareers who want to offer internship positions now have the opportunity to post intern positions free of charge - viewable on our campus site for students – HcareersCampus.com. Hcareers has established a strong presence among universities and colleges offering hospitality programs worldwide. Students and new graduates will use their school website to connect to the new internship positions via the HcareersCampus.com site.

These positions will only appear on the campus site, not on the general Hcareers job board. They are intended for students and new graduates to obtain placements with hospitality employers offering legitimate internships for a set period of time. Employers looking to find talented, hospitality-trained interns can start posting for free today!

As with a job posting, Internship postings will reside there for 30 days, unless you remove them sooner. You will receive applications in the same manner as for job postings, through your employer inbox or by email, whichever you have chosen. Internship postings will be clearly marked.

To post Internship positions, login to your employer account, and from the ‘Post Jobs’ page select the new option to ‘Post Internship Job’. The process will be similar to posting a job. To view the posted internship position, click on the ‘Internships? Click here” graphic on the home page of HcareersCampus – http://www.hcareerscampus.com. There is no cost to post an Internship position.

Important Information for Employers interested in hiring International Interns:

In most cases interns from outside of the U.S. will come on a J-1 Intern/Trainee Visa. The purpose of this visa is for students and young professionals to receive practical training in their chosen field and not to fill a labor need. Thus, Department of State regulations outline eligibility rules for employers and participants. Every employer, applicant, and training plan must be approved before a visa is issued.

Some of the basic guidelines for employers are:

  • The duration is a maximum of 12 months. In some very rare cases 18 months is possible for pure management training.
  • Employers must complete a DS 7002 Form for each participant. This outlines how the Intern will be spending his or her time, the objectives, skills to be acquired, etc.
  • For internships lasting longer than six months the program must be divided into three or more functional rotations. Rotations in unskilled areas like housekeeping cannot be longer than six weeks.
  • Interns must be paid the prevailing wage that US employees or interns would receive for the same role.
