Program Description:

Queenstown Resort College (QRC) is located in New Zealand’s premier resort town and is dedicated to Hospitality and Adventure Tourism management higher education.

QRC can be likened to a Swiss Hotel Management School (of the South Pacific!) offering a study pathway to international degree programmes in either Switzerland, Australia or Canada.

Our boutique College is housed in a purpose built, building located in Queenstown, a thriving lake-side town that is surrounding by rugged mountains and alpine forests.

The QRC Diploma of Hospitality Management (Swiss Higher Diploma) is offered in association with César Ritz Colleges, Switzerland, meaning that students can complete their diploma plus paid work placement in New Zealand in two years, before transferring to Switzerland to complete their Batchelor of International Business in Hotel and Tourism Management in just a further year’s study.

Our Diploma of Adventure Tourism Management is unique to QRC and specialises in skills specific to the Adventure Tourism industry. It has been  designed for people who would like to manage a business or have plans to establish their own operation. Graduates of this Diploma can transfer to Thompson Rivers University in BC, Canada to complete a Bachelor of Tourism Management after a further two years study.

Both Diploma programmes include a 6-9 month paid Industry Internship – many of which are with some on New Zealand’s most renown and respected hotel properties or tourism businesses.

For students already studying hospitality or tourism, QRC offers an Internship Placement service to gain work experience or course credits in New Zealand, as well as Study Abroad packages for the experience of a lifetime!
