This programme provides opportunities for students to gain work experience in hotels and tourism related organizations both locally and internationally.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment & Tourism
Entry Requirements
- Passes in at least five (5) GCE subjects, inclusive of English Language with grade A, B or C.
- Passes in at least five (5) CXC subjects, inclusive of English Language Grade I, II, III. Grade III acceptable if attained after September 1998.
- Passes in at least five (5) SSC subjects, inclusive of English Language with Range IV or V.
- Mature Student Entry
Applicants falling in this category must be over the age twenty-five (25) years, with a minimum five (5) years experience in a specialized area of the industry, for e.g. food and beverage. Each applicant will be accepted based on his/her employment portfolio, as well as certificates of achievement, positions held, along with job descriptions and proof of community involvement. Each applicant will be assessed independently. - CCCJ Associates Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism or an Approved Associate Degree from a recognized institution.
- CCCJ Diploma in Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism or any approved course of study from an approved institution.
Duration:
Day School - Two (2) years (Four (4) Semesters)
Evening School - Two (2) years including Summer (Six (6) Semesters)
Graduates with an Associate Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment & Tourism, six (6) Semester programme can complete the Degree programme in three (3) Semesters.
Associate Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment & Tourism
