Karen MacPherson is CEO of Hcareers, the largest vertical jobboard for the hospitality industry in North America. Hcareers brings the most relevant jobseekers to the most relevant Jobs in the hotel and restaurant sectors. Karen has extensive human capital industry experience both in North America and globally.
Prior to Hcareers, she served as Chief Operating Officer for Taleo, a web-based applicant tracking system based in San Francisco. She was a key player in helping launch Taleo in the US market and had overall responsibility for North America.
Immediately prior to this position Karen was Executive Vice President for TMP/Monster Worldwide responsible for North America and Asia Pacific operations. Here she led a workforce of approximately 2000 people with approx 800M in revenue.
Karen holds a Bachelors degree from UPEI with a major in Sociology and Psychology. She is passionate about the recruiting industry and understands the necessity of companies recruiting and retaining top talent.
