The attractions industry is extremely diverse and includes a wide variety of entertainment properties. These include recreational establishments such as amusement parks and theme parks, which can range in size from local carnivals to multi-acre parks. Another segment of this industry include historical or cultural exhibits such as museums and zoos.

The variety of jobs available in the attractions industry is almost as large as the number theme parks, museums, and entertainment properties that exist. This gives job seekers countless opportunities to try out different positions, advance in the industry and search for rewarding careers.

Theme parks can be found in every state, as well as abroad, creating a huge job market in each community. As tourism rises, millions visit theme parks from around the globe. Some theme parks are geared towards families, while some are targeted at older clientele. Job openings can fluctuate with seasonality, and dramatically increase during vacation periods. Generally the summer months are when the number of travelers and tourists are at its peak.
