Program Description:

The School of Hospitality and Tourism provides training to more than 800 individuals a year in programming ranging from diplomas, certificates, and apprenticeships to continuing education, distance learning, online and customized corporate training courses.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism employs over 100 full-time faculty and staff and offers state-of-the-art training facilities. Students also have the option of continuing their education towards university degree programs through one of our degree program partners – find our more.

School of Hospitality and Tourism full time academic programs are Hospitality Management, Professional Cooking, Travel and Tourism, Baking and Pastry Arts and Meat Operations and Management, and recognized internationally. Students participate in international student competitions throughout the world and are actively involved in student and faculty exchanges in France, Scotland, Australia, Singapore and Austria, as well as annual international study tours. Study tours have given the students to study wine, food, lifestyle and cultures in Chile, France, Italy, Australia, Thailand, Spain, Portugal and the United States.

All programs are constantly updated through business partnerships with various accrediting organizations and the School works closely with business and industry to maximize employment opportunities for our graduates. Education and training in the School of Hospitality and Tourism at SAIT Polytechnic provides an excellent entry into the knowledge-based economy. Our graduates enjoy an employment rate of 100 per cent in full-time employment.
