Our program was founded in 1981 as a result of a partnership between ESSEC and the Cornell School of Hotel Management. Over the past twenty-five years, it has grown and now achieved full independence from Cornell.

The Hospitality MBA is situated on the campus of ESSEC, one of France's most prestigious 'grandes écoles' or business schools. The ESSEC MBA in Hospitality Management is part of an MBA cluster together with the ESSEC MBA, the MBA in Luxury Brand Management. ESSEC as a whole is accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS. The IMHI qualification is also certified by the French Professional Qualification Board at Level 1 (equivalent to five years of study at university level).
