Hotel and Restaurant Management Program
Offered through the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, the Hotel and Restaurant Management program is taught both in the classroom and at special events and hospitality sites. Learning with experienced industry professionals, students gain skills in areas such as front desk procedures, managing food and beverage operations, budgeting, marketing and promotions and convention management. The training prepares them for future leadership roles in the industry.

As they gain new skills, students also gain valuable experience and contacts by managing and working in special community and Douglas College events. Many of these students also gain seasonal jobs — or permanent full-time jobs as graduates — at the special Douglas College hiring fair held every spring.
Students wishing to complete a university degree in the hospitality sector can use block transfer credits from this program to apply to universities across Canada and in Hawaii, Switzerland and Australia.
