Job Description

Omni Amelia Island Plantation is seeking a Front Office
Leader In Development (LID).

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality!
This 12-16 month training program will prepare
candidates for a management career in hospitality and
resort operations, focusing on the rooms division.
Leaders in Development (LID) are required to work a
50-hour work week while functioning as a Front Office
Supervisor. 40 hours per week will be spent in the Front
Office department, and another 10 hours will be spent on
the LID self-directed development program, which
requires scheduled meetings with resort department heads
to complete learning contracts. In addition to their
daily tasks and LID contracts, the associate will
provide support to the leadership team, gaining valuable
exposure to the complexity of a multi-faceted front
office operation at a world-class resort.

Essential Functions:

* Communcitation with senior company leaders

* Detailed and relevant learning modules

* Practical application of academic learning

* Support and guidance from an Executive Committee
member

* Networking both within your property and across the
company

* Career placement assistance within Omni upon program
completion

In addition:

* Will be thoroughly acquainte with all check-in &
check-out, payment authorization, and key control
procedures and policies

* Will use competer systems to process guest
transactions, run reports, and set up guest folios

* Will become familiar with all guest facilities and
local attractions to efficiently assist with guest
requests

* Will become familiar with the hotel radio
communiction system and telephone operator
call-center

* Will become familiar with SYNERGY, Birchstreet,
Opera OPMS, Kronos WFC, Medallia, ELMER and other
resort computer systems

* Will work as a door/bell person - assisting guests
in the lobby, to and from their room, and on the
front drive

* Will learn the logistics of the property's
relationship with property owners and the villa
rental program

* Will ensure propert guest follow-up is completed,
maximizing issue prevention and guest satisfaction

* Will supervise, train, and movitvate their peers to
where the team can exceed all performance
expenctations

* Will perform other duties, as assigned by the
Director of Front Office Operatiions

Job Requirements

Must have a college degree - Associate or Bachelor Level
Must be able to work 50 hour work weeks
Must be willing to relocate, after completing the year
long program, to be placed in a management position at
another Omni hotel, should the Omni Amelia Island
Plantation Resort not have an open position.
Must have flexible availability, and be able to work
weekends and holidays

Excellent customer service, communication and problem
solving skills are required. Candidates must be
comfortable using various computer systems, answering a
multi-line phone, and be able to multi-task in a busy
environment.

Previous customer service experience is required, hotel
experience preferred.
