Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the AFOM is responsible for overseeing front desk, night audit, security, and shuttle van operations. Focus includes guest service, policy and process development and enforcement, departmental recruitment, employee relations, and payroll administration.
This position will include some front desk work to cover employee breaks and provide additional support during high-volume periods. General schedule will be an afternoon/evening shift, however full availability is required for this role. Based on the nature of our business, the AFOM is expected to be able to work all shifts as needed.
This is a great position for a service professional with front office supervisory or management experience, looking for additional responsibility and career growth in a full-service, busy airport property.
Minimum requirements include:
* 2 years of supervisory experience in hotel or resort, preferrably in front office, front desk, or other related operational department.
* 5 years of experience in the service industry, preferrably in front office, front desk, or other related operational department.
* A proven track record of successful guest/customer service, process improvement, and positive employee feedback
* Hands-on knowledge of Opera and full MS Office suite required. Micros highly preferred. Additional system knowledge and a strong understanding of hotel financials a plus!
