1. Implement and support existing and as required,
develop new policies and procedures of performance
objectives of the Purchasing Department.
2. Supervise, hire and train all purchasing personnel
and prepare Team Members for advancement and
improvement.
3. Keep Resort property aware of changing market
conditions.
4. Process purchase requisition and obtain bids.
5. Ensure proper inventories and par stock levels,
assure correct receiving, storing and issuing procedures
regarding controls to be enforced and always in place.
6. Ensure proper controls are in place within the
department.
7. Process all invoices and contracts for budget
reporting.
8. Prepare for management review month end reports.
9. Coordinate with department heads minimum/maximum par
levels and spot check pars for accuracy.
10. Special projects as needed / as assigned by the
President or Director of Finance.
11. Meet with Vendors/Suppliers to secure bids, award
contracts.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned or
requested by supervisors/managers.
13. Initiate and coordination and review of contracts
and bid proposals
14. Initiate efficient purchasing process for material
services and/or products. Arrange for submission and
inspection of sample products as required.

Volume hotel/resort experience in purchasing and
storeroom. Ten to fifteen years prior experience in
Purchasing with minimum of five years as Director.
Excellent cost monitoring, savings and bidding abilities.
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for
duration of shift at least (8) hours.
