Job Description

Summary

The Trainer will partner with the property Human Resources Department and Corporate Training Team to ensure that Guest Service and Team Member Development needs of the organization are met. The primary function of this position will be the development, facilitation and delivery of a wide range of training programs to New Hires and current Team Members at all levels. This position is responsible for scheduling, tracking, and recording attendance, ordering supplies and materials, preparing materials and packets for all training.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Facilitates or teaches a wide array of classes.
* Communicates with department Leaders and Corporate Training regarding leadership and line-level training needs. Develops programs and materials as needed.
* Oversees the administration of the Learning Management System and on-line training.
* Manages all training administrative responsibilities including but not limited to, tracking attendance of all classes, preparing training packets and materials, managing materials and supplies inventory, coordinating the scheduling and setup of the training room, etc.

Required Knowledge and Skills

* Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to property training needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
* Displays a positive and professional image at all times throughout the property.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented
* Creativity, humor and positive attitude required.
* Must possess proven organizational skills.
* Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly public speaking.

Required Education and Work Experience

* Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.
* At least two years previous training experience is required.
* Prior leadership experience is helpful.
