To manage the operation of the accounting office and night audit functions.
Oversees the operation of the accounting, purchasing, and night audit staff.
Reviews daily deposit reconciliation and cash postings, including variances.
Reviews and records all accounts payable and other disbursements.
Reconciles bank accounts monthly.
Assists with the preparation and distribution of financial reports, balance sheet schedules, fixed asset schedules, inventory preparation and supervision, and other reports.
Reviews weekly payroll register for accuracy and integrity.
Reviews internal control systems. Suggests improvements. Notifies Controller or General Manager immediately of any discrepancies or inconsistencies identified in financial, operational, or computer system controls.
Assists with the annual internal and external audit process.
Assists Controller and Strategic Team in the preparation of the annual budget.
Requires advanced knowledge of principles and practices within a professional field or recognized body of formal knowledge. May develop new policies and procedures.
This position requires a minimum formal education of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years job-related experience.
This job is a team leader in the departmental work team. Has responsibility and accountability for team activities.
