Casino Overview:
The Ameristar Casino Resort Spa located in Black Hawk, Colorado is the premiere gaming, entertainment and resort destination of Colorado. Located 40 miles west of the mile high city of Denver in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Ameristar features an exciting casino, a variety of fine dining restaurants and a four diamond rated hotel.
Our 55,000 square foot gaming floor is home to around 1,500 of the newest slot products and the hottest games in the market. Our spacious 24 table pit includes the games of craps, blackjack and roulette. Ameristar also has the largest poker room in the state of Colorado.

Safety Requirement:
Safety is a core value at Ameristar and vital to our operation. The ability to work safely and prevent personal injury is a key job requirement of every position and very important to our organization. If an unsafe condition is identified, each Team Member is expected to correct or report the condition.

Position Summary:
The EVS Supervisor supports the EVS Manager in all phases of Environmental Services Department and assumes the responsibility of the Department Manager during their absence.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for operational issues of the department. The EVS Manager must be consulted for approval of major changes.
* Keeps the EVS Manager well informed of the happenings in the department.
* Makes certain that team members have completed all assignments by the end of his/her shift. Informs the following shift of the previous shifts accomplishments.
* Adheres to the highest level of safety and teaches team members proper safety techniques.
* Schedules personnel according to forecasted occupancy.
* Must be able to be cross-trained in all departments of Hotel Operations, as directed by management.
* Inspects all Casino Gaming areas, public spaces, grounds and back of house areas.
* Inspects all restrooms, corridors, restaurants, entrances and service areas for cleanliness and damage in assigned work station.
* Inspects all guest entrances and smoking areas frequently to ensure cleanliness.
* Coordinates cleaning of all areas of the Casino as directed by the EVS Manager.
* Completes paperwork assignments relating to Casino cleaning.
* Rechecks any inconsistencies that may have occurred throughout the day.
* Oversees special cleaning projects assigned by the EVS Manager.
* Reports damage and fills out work request forms for repairs.
* Checks supply closets, supply rooms and offices to make sure they are neat and well stocked.
* Ensures that all EVS Attendants are following the prescribed cleaning procedures set by the EVS Manager.
* Reports any guest or public area items that are missing to the EVS Manager.
* Performs tasks assigned by the EVS Manager, Director or General Manager.
* Must possess knowledge of emergency procedures.
* Coaches, monitors, and develops team members for improved performance.
* Issues timely performance evaluations on team members and offers developmental guidelines and resources to achieve goals.
* Attends Shift/Department Meetings
* Maintains the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity. 

Job Requirements

Requirments:
* Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
* Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
* Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
* Previous experience cleaning preferred.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry objects up to 20 lbs.
* Must be able to frequently bend, push items, twist, kneel, stoop and reach overhead to objects.
* Must be able to be on feet and walk for the entire duration of a shift.
* Must be 21 years of age to work on the casino floor.
* Must be able to work weekends, holidays and any shift.
