Job Description

Essential Functions:
*X Must adhere to the policies and procedures set forth
by Omni Hotel, and this Engineering Department.
*X Must be familiar with the guest area floor plans and
back of the house areas.
*X Must be able to work independently and with limited
supervision.
*X Assist with room calls when needed.
*X Observe the Engineering safety rules and all
requirements.
*X Must keep an environmentally safe work area at all
times; floors, lighting and equipment areas.
*X Responsible to assist in all types of emergency,
fire, accidents, etc.
*X Each Engineer will always cheerfully assist our
guests. All guests? direct requests should be
accommodated in the best possible fashion.
*X Report to work as scheduled while following the Time
and Attendance Policy.
*X Duties may be adjusted by management when the need
arises.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

§ Assist Maintenance Engineer in all aspects of client
requests as needed.

§ Assist Lead Mechanics as needed.

§ Able to free cut edges.

§ Spackle skills needed

* Paint sprayers

* Wall paper skills a plus.

* Ladders and lifts up to 65?

* Scaffold work could be required.

* Electric saws, hand tools, drills, grinders and all
painting tools.

*

Physical Requirements:

§ Must be neat in appearance in accordance with Omni
standards.

* Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

* 100% mobility required throughout the hotel on a
regular basis

* Continuous standing required in varying degrees
throughout the day ? varies with project

* Climbing stairs

* Climbing ladders

* Hearing is critical (Due to hazardous nature of
working with mechanical equipment)

* Vision is critical (Due to hazardous nature of
working with mechanical equipment)

* Speech is moderate (Communicate with guests,
employees, etc)

§ Literacy is moderate (Must be able to read logbooks,
maintenance requests)
