Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic Sales account
director who brings leadership, revenue driven hotel
sales experience and is interested in joining an
industry leading company. Based in the Northeast, you
will lead our sales efforts for a region managing key
accounts as well as uncovering new group sales
opportunities for Omni Hotels & Resorts. If you are goal

sales or hotel sales leadership experience then we offer

positions is to effectively provide the services
personally, or to immediately refer requests to the
appropriate department manager. The following is a
summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

POSITION: Director, Global Accounts

This position can be based in New York or Boston.


PURPOSE: Purpose of this position is to develop and
execute strategic sales and marketing plans against a
defined geographic region. This individual will maximize
revenues for Omni Hotels through direct sales, marketing
and designated value add activities. Knowledge of future
company direction, goals and the ability to produce
value-based products are imperative to success. Success
is measured through increased revenues from this
segment, improved account revenue share and increased
customer value.


REPORTS TO: Global Director, Sales


Duties and Responsibilities:


Business Planning
* Identifies customer requirements and expectations
relative to territory.
* Uses resource and data to develop strategic plans to
sell to segments. These plans will incorporate both
customer expectations and company?s goals relative to
revenue.
* Understands Omni Hotels sales and business processes,
supports corporate and hotels goals and contributes to
enhancement of customer value.
* Executes tactical sales processes that support
strategic plan.
* Organizes activities and resources in a manner that
maximizes productivity and efficiency.
* Focuses on personal sales efforts to achieve maximum
revenue return from Key Accounts.
* Develops and supports the design of products and
services that deliver unique customer value. Has the
ability to proactively identify customer business
requirements and craft customer offers, which leverage
the full strength of all Omni Hotels business assets.
* Monitors achievement of objectives for their territory
and takes appropriate action to correct shortfalls
versus the strategic plan.
* Focus on ACHIEVING ANNUAL REVENUE GOALS as agreed upon
each year


Account Management
* Maintains territory Key Accounts to increase customer
satisfaction and account revenue.
* Achieve or exceed revenue goals that support
attainment of company targets.
* Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the
best possible terms and conditions that satisfies
customer (internal and external) requirements.
* Articulate the financial benefits of Omni Hotels.
Solutions to close sales opportunities.
* Prepare an annual budget for travel and other business
expenses.
* Grow relationships at the appropriate levels, both
internally and externally (customers and hotels) that
enable the development and advancement of sales
initiated.

Leadership

* The ability to successfully lead sales efforts within
their territory with hotels to increase overall revenue
from all market segments.
* Seeks input and opinions from all relevant parties.
Secures all facts prior to making decisions.
* Accepts leadership responsibilities by modeling proper
selling techniques, effective development of others and
commitment to industry and personal development.
* Take a leadership role in creating and sustaining a
positive synergy with Omni Hotels

Communication
* Develops effective presentations (orally and written)
where ideas, opinions, recommendations and conclusions
are understood.
* Maintains communication with Key Accounts. Understands
brand performance, customer issues and trends.
* Clearly articulates vision, goals and expectations for
Omni Hotels.

Qualifications

* 1 to 3 years? hotel operations experience

* 5 years in senior sales or national account management
role

* College degree or equivalent experience

* Proficient in use of Excel, Word, Delphi and access
database tools
