Hotel Overview: The Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of banqueting and meeting space. For the last forty years, the Fairmont Dallas has been the setting for countless civic, social, cultural, convention and corporate events, but more importantly the setting for thousands of memories.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Catering & Conference Services, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
* Confirm all event related information with clients
* Secure social catering events to exceed personal revenue goals
* Confirm event related information with client & disseminate information to all departments in a professional & timely manner
* Initiate billing procedures, ensuring client credibility & that deposits or credit applications are received with adequate information & within an acceptable time frame
* Establish good business & social relationships with the industry & participate in activities related to public relations to increase sales leads for the department as well as the hotel
* Excellent customer skills, superior interpersonal skills, results-oriented & highly motivated
* Proven ability to plan & execute events effectively with a strong attention to detail
* Knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering, Property Manager, Word, Excel, Meeting Matrix
* Knowledge of forecasting & budgeting process

Previous leadership experience within a similar role required * Minimum of 4 years experience in upscale hotel catering managing the large gala market, luxury weddings & signature events
* Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
* University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
* Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
* Highly responsible & reliable
* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
