Join P.F. Chang?s and become our Director of Quality
Assurance and Food Safety at our Home Office in North
Scottsdale! This position is responsible for directing
and supporting the Food Safety and Quality programs. The
position will partner with internal and external
stakeholders to deliver outstanding product quality,
food safety and sanitation to create a world-class
strategic point of difference for P.F. Chang?s China
Bistro, Inc. Our ideal candidate will be a resourceful,
collaborative individual that will be able to travel up
to 50% of the time.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop, implement and continually improve systems,
policies and procedures that ensure product quality
and food safety.

* Approves new suppliers, monitors current approved
suppliers and works continuously on supplier
development.

* Partner with Supply Chain to ensure purchasing from
approved suppliers.

* Oversee Domestic and International supply chain
sanitation and food safety.

* Partner with appropriate parties in new product
development (Food Safety & Sanitation).

* Specification development/maintenance and product
verification, to include: allergens, ingredients,
labeling, product testing and COA?s.

* Identify, investigate and respond to product quality
failures.

* Partner with Operations in Continuous Improvement,
to include: relationship & management of third party
audits, food safety procedures inside the
restaurants, HACCP menu items, ServSafe, guest
complaints and training.

* Monitor industry, regulatory changes, and emerging
issues, to ensure food safety standards policies and
procedures are appropriate.

* Monitor National and International food related
issues, products, processes, animal issues, and
diseases that can affect our restaurants.
* Bachelor?s degree in Food Science, Biology or
related field. Master?s degree a plus

* 5 - 10 years experience of quality assurance in a
food manufacturing environment, with supplier
inspection and auditing skills

* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

* Professional registration as a Food Technologist,
Registered Sanitarian (RS), Registered Environmental
Health Specialist (REHS) or other closely related
field of experience preferred

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, to
include: Excel, SharePoint, Word and Outlook

* Strong interpersonal skills; will be able to
interact well with people across all levels of the
organization

* Experience in restaurant industry and/or public
sector, a plus
