Job Description
The Omni Bedford Springs Resort is currently seeking a
Lead Seasonal Golf Apprentice for this National Historic
Landmark, located in the heart of Pennsylvania's scenic
Cumberland Valley.
The Lead Seasonal Golf Apprentice will be responsible
for providing the highest level of guest service, while
maintaining the golf car fleet, staging area, practice
facility in an appealing manner while also operating
golf tournaments and assisting with our Junior Golf
Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Enthusiastic greeting of guest, by name whenever
possible
* Speak with guests in a friendly, warm manner, making
them feel welcome
* Display conduct in an appropriate manner at all
times in accordance with Omni Hotels
* Utilize a working knowledge of club operations
* Render professional advice, opinions, assistance,
and services as required.
* Perform duties and meet requirements for
tournaments, club rentals and services which the
Head Golf Professional and Assistant Professionals
deem necessary.
* Promote the interests of the resort in providing
excellent service to the guest.
* Help to facilitate a guest-friendly environment at
all times.
HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
* Must be able to operate the hand-held radio
communication device
* Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow
golf staff members, valet, and bell staff.
* Must be knowledgeable in trail access locations,
bike rentals, and appropriate fishing locations.
ENVIRONMENT: Outdoor environment with exposure to
weather elements such as rain, wind, sun, and heat. Job
requires constant standing, walking, bending and
reaching; lifting up to 75 lbs.
Job Requirements
* High School Graduate or Equivalent
* Availability for a start date of March 15
* Passion for and knowledge of the game of golf
* Currently desiring a career in the field of golf,
with the ultimate goal of becoming a PGA
Professional
* Excelling customer service skills
* Ability to work successfully in a highly
team-oriented environment
* Must be able to work a rotating schedule including
weekends, holidays, AM/PM Shifts
