Job Description

The steward adheres to hotel specifications and
standards in operating the dishwashing machines to wash
designated restaurant and kitchenware, clean and
maintain equipment and
dishwashing/kitchen/cafeteria/compactor/storage areas.
Wash & sanitize pots, pans and other kitchen
utensils/equipment according to Hotel specifications and
standards. The steward also completes special cleaning
projects as assigned and is responsible for ensuring the
safety and sanitation of the work areas.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements
and use of equipment is essential. Knowledge of proper
chemical handling is essential. 2 years experience in
food service janitorial position preferred. Spanish
speaking skills highly desirable. Certification in
sanitation highly desirable. Must be available to work
AM/PM/Weekends/Holidays and have a flexible schedule.
Must be able to push/pull/lift 100 lbs.
