Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a dynamic hospitality design professional. This exciting and challenging position in Best Western Design provides project design support by assisting in design development and presentation. Promotes compliance with company guidelines and design standards by providing member (property owners) and applicants for Company membership with design solutions to meet their budget and needs. Makes Design recommendations per the report findings.


Essential Job Results
Provides project design by developing and presenting custom designs. Interprets design requirements and layouts. Prepares drawings and specifications for new construction and existing properties. Maintains quality service by following Company Standards. Resolves defined problems and identifies hidden problems and uses a wide degree of creativity and latitude to analyze and resolve problems. Provides functional assistance by maintaining the library of interior design materials and resources. Supports design projects by participating in special assignments such as conventions and trade shows Provides design consulting services by visiting property sites and meeting with members and applicants. Able to contribute to team effort by providing advice, knowledge, and experience.


Skills/Requirements
Minimum 4 years related experience in interior design for commercial, industrial or institutional facilities. Hotel industry experience preferred. Bachelor?s Degree in Architecture/Interior Design or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. May require advanced proficiency in a specific application. Strong sketching and drafting skills. Advanced proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) necessary. Customer focused with good presentation skills. Ability to diplomatically communicate deficiencies and required changes. Will exhibit personal characteristics and professional standards to serve as a role model for others and have the required basic professional know-how to meet technical design standards. NCIDQ certification preferred. Previous project leadership experience preferred. This position is in our Interior Design department.


Location Details
Phoenix, AZ 85016 6201 North 24th Parkway Our Headquarters is centrally located in the Biltmore area. Local candidates are preferred. Relocation assistance is not available.


Travel Required
This position requires routine travel of up to 10%.
